The Pascha interior is finished and the car looks terrific, I picked it up from the trimmers yesterday and drove it home this morning. The more I drive it the better it gets as it recovers from sitting idle for 9 years

The car is finished
I am off to Melbourne in the morning to pick up the car from the motor trimmers, I have gone through the restoration with a take no prisoners attitude and I have used the best parts, the best mechanics, and the best painters and body builders, the motor trimmer has a very good reputation so I feel justified in expecting the car to look sensational, the only down side is it has cost about double of what I had budgeted for.

Off to Melbourne to get the interior restored
The car is off to Melbourne Friday to have the interior restored, as the photo's show the interior looks every day of its 31 years. I brought the original material for the seat inserts from Germany and although it cost Aust$1000.00 my motor trimmer assures me it was a bargain as everyone in the trade believes the material was no longer available the car will be finished in about a week.

The re assembling continue's
The re assembling is continuing although we had a scare today, a piece from the from of the car seemed to be lost the L/H brake air vent could not be found, and because the guy that stripped it down was on holidays they were not sure if it was there to start with but, after a short search it was found in the painting dept it had still been attached to the frront bumper cover when it went to painting and they removed it and thats where we found it.
I am only waiting on the rear 1/4 window trims to arrive from Germany and they are expected on the flight from Germany on Wednesday, Jan and I will be in Melbourne Wednesday and Thursday and I am hoping to bring them home with me, if that proves to be the case the car will be finished Friday and all that remains to be done is the interior and we will be making some enquiries regarding that while we are in Melbourne

It's painted at last
I went to the panel beaters today to check on the cars progress just in time to see it in the final minutes of the baking stage.
It is a beautiful colour and looks fantastic it's starting to get very exciting as the restoration comes to a close, over the next couple of days it will be re assembled and then it's off the the motor trimmer to have the interior replaced
